Walford offers a dynamic, friendly, family-orientated school environment
Welcome to Walford Anglican School for Girls, where, since 1893, educating and empowering girls and young women has been our priority.
We live in an exciting and complex time, where young people will require a range of attributes to navigate a future we can only imagine. Our dedicated and highly qualified staff guide our students to be curious and creative, inspiring in them a desire to explore and think deeply about topics that truly matter in our world today.
At Walford, we encourage students to develop the agency needed to take purposeful action when and where it is needed. From an early age, students take on leadership roles, actively involving themselves in projects and initiatives outside of the classroom within the local, national and global community. Students learn that they can make a difference in the lives of others and that they really can achieve whatever they set their minds to.
Students at Walford are immersed in a community that empowers them to achieve their best in pathways that are right for them. Our alumnae network is active within the life of the School, helping students to see what you can be through mentoring and engagement initiatives. Our School community understands the empowerment that is enabled through an all-girls’ education, supporting our graduates to be well-equipped to meet the demands of a changing world and to embrace with optimism and aspiration, the opportunities that await them.
Our campus has been carefully designed to promote the sense of belonging which began in the family home of Walford’s first Headmistress, Miss Adamson back in 1893. Friendships are easily facilitated across year levels and each girl is known by name and valued for her unique talents and strengths.
I warmly welcome you to visit us soon so that you can experience firsthand the inspiring opportunities that excite and challenge students to be their very best here at Walford Anglican School for Girls.
