St Gregory’s College is a Catholic Day and Boarding school for boys from Years 7-12. Since its foundation in 1926 by the Marist Brothers, our College has always been proud of its school spirit which places an emphasis on family, belonging and encouragement to do your best. The College has a strong tradition and reputation for academic excellence, high achievement in sporting competitions and for providing a wide range of extra-curricular activities.

St Gregory’s is a family-oriented community with 13 staff living on-site, including six families, many young children and even a few dogs. This is a community built on and held together by the Marist charism, which has been developed and passed on by many Brothers and lay teachers walking in the footsteps of Saint Marcellin Champagnat. This charism is based on characteristics such as Presence, Simplicity, Family Spirit, Love of Work and the Way of Mary. One aim of St Gregory’s is to shape, in partnership with parents, young men of strong mind and gentle hearts. The staff at St Gregory’s model this charism and hope that students will grow to live this also.

One of the great strengths of the College is the semi-rural setting within easy reach of city amenities. The boys enjoy the spacious surroundings, which are the envy of many a visiting school. This sense of space is complemented by each boy having an individual room. The study routine is well established, and boys can benefit from the assistance of staff and tutors. The boarding houses and staff residences are located directly adjacent to the main College. There is on-site accommodation available for parents who are visiting throughout the year.
