Clayfield College, established in 1931, is located in the stunning leafy Northern suburbs of Brisbane and welcomes students from all over Australia and the world. The College is owned and governed by the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association.

 

Boarding at Clayfield College is an incredibly rewarding experience where your child will learn and grow in a supportive and nurturing environment. The College's Boarding School cares for students from Year 7 to 12. Boarding is a significant part of our school community with boarders enriching our environment with many different cultural perspectives and talents. Clayfield College’s Boarding House is currently home to over 75 students, including students from rural Queensland areas, interstate and overseas.

 

The school is renowned for its high academic standards, its quality of teaching, their Parallel Learning model and its emphasis on personal excellence. This approach has successfully ensured strong academic results over many years for Clayfield College students. Their Parallel Learning model is unique in Queensland. Children will experience all of the advantages of coeducation as they grow and develop through their early years and primary school. Then, from Years 7 through to Year 9, they begin learning in separate streams for girls and boys before returning to fully coeducational classes for Years 11 and 12. You won’t have to decide between single sex and coeducation in advance — it’s the best of both worlds.

 

Clayfield College offers an extensive range of sporting, music, cultural, enrichment and community service programs with participation in the extra-curricular activities which is strongly encouraged in College culture. The Elite Sport Program and Music Program are both highly regarded. The cornerstone of studying at Clayfield is the nurturing pastoral care program which enhances every student’s development spiritually, emotionally and academically.
