At Ballarat Grammar, we focus on educating the whole person with learning experiences extended beyond the class room. Students are strongly supported by a successful wellbeing program based around the strengths and traditions of our House system.

Since the early days of the School, boarding has been a central part of Ballarat Grammar. With 230 boarders from all areas of regional Victoria and interstate, Ballarat Grammar boarding is a vibrant, diverse and considerate community that offers the opportunity to experience every facet of our rich and diverse learning opportunities.

The strong country values of our boarding families are reflected in the open and friendly nature of the School’s boarders, and in the tangible sense of community within the School.

In the Anglican tradition, positive relationships underpin the growth of academic, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing within a highly-developed pastoral care program. Breadth of endeavour is important, and high-achieving students are active in academic extension pursuits, as well as in music and performing arts, sports, outdoor education, and community service.
