Emily Langron
Meet Emily Langron. Emily is a primary school teacher living and working in Townsville in Far North Queensland. When she’s not surviving tropical cyclones and going out to cattle stations in the school holidays, she is bringing goats and other farm yard animals into her school to teach the kids about farming. Originally from Warren, she’s living a long way from home but has travelled the world and attributes her independence to skills she learnt at boarding school.

2. What was your best experience at Boarding School?
Probably the overall experience of being a boarder and the lifelong friendships I have made.
3. What is your favourite memory?
Having movie nights in the boarding house and having a good laugh with my friends.
4. What are you doing now?
I am a year 2 teacher living in Townsville, North QLD
5. Has anything you learnt at boarding school helped you with your current career?
Boarding school definitely gave me my sense of independence and gave me the skills to interact with people from all walks of life.
6. Any advice for young kids going to boarding school?
Enjoy every minute and cherish the experience that you are being given!
