We’re off to a great start for 2024!
Holy moly the humidity out where I live has knocked us off our feet for the best part of summer – we’re just not used to it. On the bright side, our regular falls of rain have been welcomed and summer crops are looking the goods.
February has been a busy month for the team here as we get ready for our in-person events, and begin to put together the agenda for our Australian Boarding Schools Summit. Did you know that we host an online event each October where we discuss the matters that matter to you, families at boarding school and families looking for the best option for their children? 24 Australian Boarding Schools partnered with us last year to ensure that you have access to this event, wherever you call home.
This year will be our third year of hosting and with over 550 families registered from across Australia and overseas we’re proud to know that it provides an avenue for nuanced conversations between parents, staff at boarding schools, industry experts and of course, the boarders themselves.
Do you have topics that you would like to see us dive into at our Summit ? Remember it’s online, you can join it from wherever you live and on demand at a time that suits you. Email me with your suggestions – it’s all about you, conversations about the things that matter to you and your boarder.
Did you see our Takeover Thursday a couple of weeks ago ? Ascham School in Sydney shared some great insights into their boarding community. Go back and check it out.
Have a great month,

This episode is with Gemma from Griffith, NSW who is a boarder at Wenona School, in Sydney.

FEET UP AND WATCHING
Netflix: I used to be famous
Ok, if 2024’s hitting you hard and February finds you looking for a ‘break’ – take a couple of hours on us. A heartwarming (if not just a little predictable) British drama about a boy band veteran who teams up with an autistic teenager. Ultimately it’s a film about friendship and music.
FERRARI IN NAME
FERRARI IN NATURE
Becoming Italian… the Aussie’ way
Hey I married a 4th generation Aussie’ farmer with an absolute ‘gift’ of a surname and dreamy chocolate coloured Italian eyes thanks to his heritage there was no way I wasn’t taking that on! Every now and again I get into my ‘Italian groove’, drape a green, red and white flag over the kitchen bench and tune into fabulous Silvia and her one way ticket to Italy (via the magic of the interwebs.
