Thank you everyone for taking the time to tell us about your Expo Experience on our Facebook page! The comments were amazing and like choosing a boarding school, it wasn’t an easy decision.
The winner of the best comment for 2013 wins A Week at the Beach, staying at Decked Out at Wagstaffe, and the runners ups each receive a 1 year subscription to R.M. Williams Outback Magazine.

“I can honestly say the Boarding Expo has been invaluable to our family. If we had not attended the Griffith Expo our son would never have realised what was available to him. Having struggled all through school he didn’t think he had many options for his future, but after speaking with people from the different schools he has now decided to complete year 12 at boarding school, and see how far he can go in his education. As a mum I am very happy ….. why?….my son has dyslexia and has had to work twice as hard as his peers to achieve half the outcomes….this positive challenge has filled him with confidence and broadened his future horizons! It has been a long difficult journey so far….but the best is yet to come!”
Rachel Rudder (runner up)
(Who travelled 9 hours with her husband and five children from the north coast to the Dubbo Expo, then reinforce their decisions with a visit to a 2nd expo.)
“The Expo delivered an excellent insight to what the schools has to offer,” she wrote. “The passion and dedication shown by both the staff and students alike was second to none…We came away with a multitude of information about the future education opportunities for our children.”
Rosina Bear Watt (runner up)
“If you are thinking about sending your child to boarding school then this is a fantastic introduction to the many schools in the “one” location. The staff & students are great ambassadors for their school. A very positive experience for nervous youngsters approaching the decision making time. A terrific concept welcomed by the regional & rural people. Thankyou we enjoyed our time in Denniliquin, decision time!”
Kathryn Singh (runner up)
“There is information that you can get from the schools at the expo directly that is very difficult to find online, so I would encourage anyone considering boarding school to go along and speak to the school staff and students. It is very worthwhile.”
