Space to grow. Values to guide
SCOTS PGC College is a Co-Educational Prep -12 Day and Boarding School. At SCOTS PGC College, we understand that every student is unique; each with their own personalities, strengths, aspirations, interests and pathways. With this in mind, we focus on giving your child the education that’s right for them. With over 100 years of continued success, our individual approach to learning speaks for itself.
Purpose-built precincts exist for Junior, Middle and Senior Schools allowing students to engage with children of their own cohort. There are also separate facilities, such as libraries and resource rooms, for their educational, co-curricular and sporting requirements as well as covered outdoor sport and recreational facilities.
All students dine together each day and are provided with healthy nutritious meals, approved by a dietician and prepared by our in-house Chef and his team. Students can choose from healthy salads, fruit and a delicious hot buffet daily.
A wide range of co-curricular activities including Pipe Band, Drama, Music, and a world-class Equestrian program is offered as well as club activities including, Sheep and Cattle Club, chess, debating, cooking, gardening, coding and robotics. Children can choose sporting pursuits including Track and Field, Rugby Union, Rugby 7’s, Basketball, Hockey, Swimming, Futsal, Netball and Touch Football.
We take the education of rural students very seriously. With rural boarders making up approximately half of our senior school, the College has a distinctly rural feel and the culture of the student body is strongly influenced by attitudes and values that typify those who have been raised in the bush – resilience, courage, good humour, humility, honesty and egalitarianism. Far from being a monoculture though, we also appreciate the diversity of life experience that other students from Brisbane and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, as well as international students and day students from the Warwick district, bring to the College community.
As a College, we strive to provide an excellent teaching environment for our students combined with activities and pastoral care that will challenge and mould them into ‘men and women of character’. Our goal is for students to leave our College with sound moral compasses as well as the aspiration and skills to be healthy and positive participants in their own families, workplaces and the wider community.
