Celebrating excellence in girls’ education since 1886, Wenona is an independent, non-denominational day and boarding school for 1,370 girls, from Kindergarten to Year 12, in North Sydney.

Under Principal Dr Briony Scott, Wenona is a global learning community, empowering young women to serve and shape their world.

Just 48 girls from Years 7 to 12 live in refurbished heritage accommodation, a home away from home in the heart of the school. Boarding is an important part of our heritage, which values diversity. Wenona’s central yet safe location is next to green and spacious St Leonards Park, and just a short walk from Sydney Harbour.

The Boarding House is connected to Wenona’s Library, with a dedicated Prep supervisor and Wenona’s Evening Study Centre (ESC), open each evening and staffed by specialist teachers.

A Wenona, girls are offered a rich array of academic and sporting possibilities, as well as strong creative arts, performing arts, cadets, outdoor education and more, all supported by committed staff whose focus is on girls' education.

Leadership and teamwork skills are fostered through international and local service learning initiatives, guided by our motto, Ut Prosim, that I may serve.

Wenona’s impressive HSC and ATAR results are influenced by an academic peer culture and professional, innovative teaching and learning.
