What boarding school did you go to?
Kambala Girls School, Sydney
What was your best experience at Boarding School?
The girls I lived with significantly shaped my experience at boarding school. My dorm mates quickly became my best friends. Boarding school provides a unique opportunity to meet other peers from a variety of backgrounds and in doing so, widens your horizons. I have travelled all through regional NSW and as far as Germany to reconnect with boarding friends.
What is your favourite memory from Boarding School?
Singing in the shower cubicles and dorm raids.
What are you doing now?
I am working in the Arts division of ABC television. It’s an exciting time to be working here, our Arts team is small and focused and the future is bright.
Since leaving school I have been involved in independent theatre and community arts both through study and work. In a few months I’m heading to Paris for a few months to study at L’École Philippe Gauliere.
Has anything you learnt at boarding school helped you with your current career?
Acceptance and patience.
Any advice for young kids going to boarding school?
Go in with a sense of humour and you’ll come out with a smile.
