Welcome to Destination Boarding wherever you’re tuning in from.
For those of you that are new to our podcast we are here to share the stories of boarding school life in Australia – many of our conversations are with ex-boarders or parents of boarders and lately we’ve been talking with some of the schools themselves about what makes their boarding community unique and how they feel about having boarders from across Australia and overseas as part of their broader school community.
Today’s chat is with Head of Frensham school in Mittagong NSW, Geoff Marsh. Geoff has made his entire career in education as a Physics and Chemistry teacher but it was following a stint with the Sydney Olympic Committee leading up to the 2000 Olympics that he understood what it took to bring a team together for the benefit of the community.
Over the past couple of decades since he has led in various capacities both at Frenhsam and other independent schools and now is proud to be the Head at the school he and his family has spent almost 20 years at.
Physics, chemistry, ex-olympian, businessman …. Is this what it takes to lead one of (if not the largest) girls boarding schools in Australia ?
Let’s find out in this chat with Geoff Marsh.
