St Vincent’s College, Potts Point, day & boarding school for girls Years 7-12
At St Vincent’s College Potts Point, girls from all over Sydney, Australia and the world come together to engage with a vigorous learning environment in the heart of Sydney. Students select from a wide range of subjects in Years 9 and 11 to create a timetable that nurtures and grows their skills, interests and talents. Student results in School Certificate and the HSC examinations are a testament to their successes.
The curriculum extends beyond the classroom and into other dimensions of student’s lives. Girls are able to study, voice, piano, string, woodwind, brass, speech and drama. They participate in Saturday and representative sports, competitions for debating and public speaking, performances in Eisteddfods and productions. Each year group lead the College in awareness and fundraising campaigns for their charity as well as creating and facilitating whole College liturgies.
Every girl is known and cared for through a pastoral and academic care program that begins in the morning with tutor group. It flows through the class room with engaged and professional teachers, is ignited during lunch with leadership and service opportunities and continues when students leave the College to go home.
Students, parents, family and staff recognise that the history created 152 years ago is unique, just like each student that passes through the College to go and make their mark on the world. We are a Catholic educational community that is dedicated to developing confident, independent women, and the successes of the last 152 years are a testament to that.
